Online Bank Statements: PayPal.com

This module extends the online bank statement feature so that a PayPal.com account can be selected as a statement source. On the online bank statement provider form, when the service is set to PayPal.com, extra fields appear to enter the PayPal Client ID and Secret (and, for technical users, an API base URL). These credentials are required before the connection can work.

When a statement is requested, the module connects to PayPal, retrieves transactions for the chosen period and currency, and converts each one into bank statement lines. Each line gets a description based on the invoice number, transaction subject, note, or a readable PayPal event description, plus a note containing the transaction ID, subject/note and payer email. If a payer name is available it is used as the partner name.

• PayPal fees are imported as separate lines named "Fee for ..." with partner PayPal.
• Opening and closing balances are calculated from the first and last transaction of the period; if there are no transactions, the current PayPal balance is used for both.
• Transactions are fetched in 31-day intervals with paging, and duplicate import IDs are made unique.
• PayPal only allows retrieving transactions up to 3 years back; older dates raise an error asking for manual import.
• Incorrect PayPal app configuration or authentication problems produce clear error messages.

The module works on the online.bank.statement.provider model and adds its configuration to the existing provider form view.
