PayPal CSV Format Bank Statements Import
This module allows you to import the PayPal CSV files in Odoo as bank statements.
auto_awesome What this module does
AI-generated from the code · Odoo 13.0Import PayPal CSV reports (Statement or Activity) as bank statements in Odoo, using ready-made or custom column mappings.
This module lets you bring PayPal CSV reports into Odoo as bank statements, so PayPal transactions appear in your accounting without manual entry.
- When importing a bank statement, a new field "PayPal mapping" appears on the import screen. You pick a mapping and Odoo reads the PayPal file with it.
- A menu "PayPal Report Mappings" (under Accounting) lists the mappings. Several ready-made ones are provided: PayPal Statement and PayPal Activity in English, Spanish and German.
- Each mapping defines the number separators (thousands and decimals), the date and time formats, and which CSV column holds each piece of data (date, time, timezone, name, currency, gross, fee, balance, transaction ID, description, type, emails, invoice ID, subject, note, bank name, bank account).
- A wizard helps you create a new mapping: upload a PayPal file, Odoo reads its header and proposes the columns; you can adjust them from drop-down lists and save the mapping.
- During import, only rows matching the journal currency are kept. Dates and times are converted to UTC, with common PayPal timezone codes recognised. Each line becomes a transaction; when a fee exists, a separate fee transaction is created. The statement's opening balance is computed from the first line, and the closing balance from the last line.
- Accountants can read mappings; only accounting managers can create, change or delete them.
