Account Bank Statement Import: Split by date

This module adds a choice on the bank statement import screen. After you pick your file, a new question appears: how would you like to split the imported statement file? You can choose Single statement (the default, same as before), Daily statements, Weekly statements or Monthly statements.

If you choose a split option, the transactions in the file are sorted by date and grouped into separate statements:

• Daily: one statement per calendar day.
• Weekly: one statement per week, starting on Monday.
• Monthly: one statement per calendar month.

For each group, the module creates a statement with its own name taken from the journal's sequence, its own date, and recalculated opening and closing balances so each statement balances on its own. Transactions are never changed, only regrouped.

This affects the bank statement import wizard (account.bank.statement.import) and the statements it creates. It is useful when a bank sends one file covering a long period but you want your accounting records split by day, week or month.
