Account Early Payment Discount

This module extends the payment terms screen in Accounting so you can record early payment discount conditions on each payment term.

On the payment term form you get a new checkbox "Early Payment Discount". When you tick it, a group of fields appears where you can enter: - Number of day(s): how many days the customer has to pay to benefit from the discount. - Discount: the percentage offered for paying early. - Tolerance: a small amount, shown in the company currency, that is allowed when applying the discount.

If you untick the checkbox, the number of days, discount and tolerance values are cleared automatically.

A database rule enforces that the number of days and the discount must both be filled in whenever the early payment discount checkbox is ticked; otherwise Odoo refuses to save the payment term and shows a message.

The checkbox is also shown in the payment terms list view, so you can see at a glance which terms include an early payment discount.

This module only stores the early payment discount configuration on payment terms (account.payment.term). It does not itself apply the discount on invoices or during reconciliation; that is handled by a separate reconciliation module.
