This module complements the functionality of Automatic Entries in Accounting. It provides a Wizard to clear invoices by creating an intermediate journal entry. It allows to clear any invoice with its opposite types. out_ types are cleared with in_ types and vice versa. The invoices to be cleared have to be not paid or partially paid. The wizard will use the residual amount of the invoices in the clearing process.
auto_awesome What this module does
AI-generated from the code · Odoo 19.0Adds an "Invoice clearing" button on posted invoices and bills that opens a wizard to offset open invoices against their opposite entries by creating and reconciling an intermediate journal entry.
This module adds an "Invoice clearing" button on the form of a posted invoice or bill (visible to billing users, hidden for journal entries and fully paid documents). It also adds an "Invoice Clearing" action in the list view of invoices.
The wizard lets you pick the invoices/bills to clear and shows the open receivable or payable lines. It automatically finds the counterpart open lines of the same commercial partner and opposite type (customer invoices against vendor bills and refunds), and lets you set how much of each line to clear. Buttons let you auto-fill amounts, reset the selection, sort by due date or by residual amount, or use the full residual of a line.
A preview shows the journal entries that will be generated before you confirm. When you click "Create and Concile", the wizard creates a general journal entry and reconciles each new line with its counterpart. All selected invoices must belong to the same commercial partner, the same type and the same company, and the clearing amount cannot exceed the residual amount.
