Account Reconcile Match Regex

This module extends the reconciliation models used in the bank reconciliation screen. On each reconciliation model form, a new field called "match_invoice_regex" is added right after the matching order field. There you can enter a regular expression (a search pattern) that tells Odoo how to find the invoice number inside the payment reference text.

When Odoo tries to match a bank statement line, it normally compares the line's text values with the invoice. With this module, if a regular expression is set on the reconciliation model, Odoo also applies that pattern to the available text values and adds every captured group it finds to the list of values used for matching. If the pattern has no groups, the whole matched text is used instead.

• Users configure the pattern once per reconciliation model.
• No new menus or reports are created; the change appears inside the existing reconciliation model configuration form.
• The behaviour only activates when the field is filled in; otherwise matching works exactly as before.

The module touches the account.reconcile.model model and its matching logic, so it affects automatic bank reconciliation in the Accounting app.
