AI-generated from the code · Odoo 18.0

This module lets accountants turn existing journal items (unreconciled receivable/payable entries) into bank statement lines. A wizard filters and selects the move lines, then creates the statement lines in one click.

This module adds a way to build bank statement lines from existing journal items instead of typing them manually.

From a bank statement form, a button "Import Journal Items" opens a wizard. The same option appears on the accounting journal dashboard. The wizard lets you filter the journal items by partner, journals, target moves (all entries or only posted ones), date type (due date or move date), and whether the entry is linked to an invoice or refund. You can then click "Add All Move Lines" to select everything matching the filters, or pick lines manually from the list.

When you confirm with "Create Statement Lines", the selected journal items are converted into bank statement lines on the chosen statement. If you started from a journal dashboard, a new statement is created automatically for that journal with today's date. The amount is taken from the debit or credit of each item, and the partner, reference, maturity date and currency are carried over.

The module only considers unreconciled receivable and payable items of the current company, and it excludes items already linked to payments. It touches account.move.line, account.bank.statement and the new wizard model account.statement.line.create.
