Online Bank Statements: OFX

This module adds an OFX option to the online bank statement providers in Accounting. When a provider's service is set to OFX, a new "OFX Institutions" tab appears on the provider form where you can list the institutions to connect to, with username, password, bank identifier and account number.

A button "Import OFX Institutions" on the provider form downloads a list of supported institutions from ofxhome.com and stores them, so you can pick one instead of typing its details.

When you run the pull wizard to fetch statements, if the provider is OFX you must select one or more OFX institution lines; the wizard then retrieves the transactions for the chosen date range and creates a bank statement with the corresponding lines. Each imported line gets a payment reference built from the payee, check number and memo, plus the date, amount and a unique import identifier to avoid duplicates.

Statements are only created if there are transactions, and the statement name is generated automatically. The module touches the online bank statement provider, the pull wizard, and adds two new models: OFX Institution and OFX Institution Line. Access rights let accounting users manage institutions and lines, while other users can only read them.
