Animal Prescriptions

This module turns a normal sales order into a veterinary prescription. On a sales order you can pick a herd and the animal_ids concerned, and the species is taken automatically from the herd.

On each order line you can record the animals treated, a headcount, the animal species and its physiology (for example age group). A button next to the line copies all animals from the order onto the line. When a product, species and physiology are set, Odoo automatically looks up the matching posology record and fills in the dosage description, the milk withdrawal delay and the meat withdrawal delay, with their units. These delays are stored on the line and can be adjusted manually.

A new configuration menu under the animal settings lets you maintain the list of physiologies (name, sequence, active), and each posology can be linked to a physiology. The herd list view also shows the animals of each herd.

The sales menu is renamed 'Prescription' and the order list shows the herd and animals columns. Lot/serial number becomes mandatory on order lines when the product is tracked, and the product code prefix is removed from the line description. A computed total quantity is available for reports.
