Translate Country States

This module changes how state or province names are stored in Odoo. It extends the existing res.country.state model and marks the state name field as translatable.

In practice, when you open a state record (for example from the Countries list in the Contacts configuration area) and several languages are active in your database, the name field can hold a separate value per language. You can type the state name in one language and then switch language to provide the translated name, instead of being limited to a single name shared by all languages.

The module adds no new menus, buttons, reports, checks, computed values or scheduled actions. It only changes the storage behaviour of the state name, so existing screens that display or select states will show the name in the language of the current user when a translation exists.

It depends only on the base module and does not modify any other model. Because the change is limited to the name field of res.country.state, addresses, partners and other records that reference a state will simply display the translated name according to the active language.
