Commission Formula

This module extends the existing commission feature. On each commission record you now get a third commission type called 'Formula', next to the standard percentage-based options.

When you choose 'Formula', a text editor appears on the commission form where you write the calculation. The screen also shows instructions and a reference table of the common fields available on sales order lines (discount, subtotal, unit price, quantity) and on invoice lines (discount, subtotal, unit price, quantity).

• The formula can use 'line' to read the values of the document line being processed, and must put the final commission amount in 'result'.
• Because field names differ between sales orders and invoices, the formula can check whether the line comes from a sales order or from an invoice and calculate accordingly.
• A default formula is pre-filled that returns zero for both cases, so nothing is charged until you write your own calculation.
• If a product is marked as commission free, the formula is not applied and no commission is generated for that line.

The module touches the commission configuration model and the shared commission line logic used when commission amounts are computed on sales and invoices. A demo commission named '5% + 10% extra' illustrates a formula that gives 5% of the subtotal plus an extra 10% on that amount.
