Connector Importer Product

This module plugs product data into the generic import framework. It does not add its own menu; instead it registers import types that become available wherever you configure imports (import backends, sources and recordsets).

Available import types: - Product Category, Product Attribute, Product Attribute Value, Import Product, Import Product Supplier Info, Import Product Packaging, and an "Import Product - all in one" that imports products together with their suppliers and supplier info.

When importing products, the module always sets a default code so each product can be found again on later imports, defaults sale_ok to true, and drops empty barcodes. It also handles product variants: attribute columns are matched to existing attributes and values, and the related template attribute lines and values are created so the variant keeps its characteristics. If a variant would clash with an existing one (different attributes or the same combination), the import is stopped with an error instead of creating duplicates.

For supplier info, the module finds the right product template either from the template default code or from an external identifier, and matches existing supplier lines by partner and template. Optionally, missing attribute values can be created automatically when the import is configured that way.
