Field Service License: AGPL-3

This module adds compatibility between field_service_sale_stock and pos_order_to_sale_order, allowing the creation of FSM orders directly from the POS. It also includes logic to handle refunds.

auto_awesome What this module does

AI-generated from the code · Odoo 17.0

Create Field Service orders automatically from Point of Sale orders, including stock moves and refund handling, and notify a chosen user when a new FSM order needs review.

This module connects the Point of Sale with Field Service and stock. When a POS order contains products tracked as field service, Odoo creates the related Field Service order and the stock movements behind it, so the warehouse and the service team stay in sync.

In the Point of Sale settings, a new option lets you choose a user who will receive notifications of Field Service orders created from the POS. When such an order is created, that user gets a to-do activity on the Field Service order asking them to review and assign it.

If the POS is configured for real-time stock updates, stock moves are created directly; otherwise a stock picking is created and linked to the Field Service order. When a POS order is refunded, the module adjusts the stock quantities, cancels the picking and cancels the Field Service order if nothing remains, posting a note on the order. If the whole order is refunded, the Field Service order is cancelled automatically.

When a POS order is marked as delivered or invoiced, the linked Field Service orders are completed. If the optional fieldservice_isp_flow module is installed, the orders are instead assigned to a worker, scheduled for today and completed with a resolution note.

Instructions for Creating FSM Orders from Point of Sale

  • Create or Edit a Product

Configure the product to create an FSM order per sale and add it to the Point of Sale (POS).

  • Configure Stock Update Behavior

In the POS settings, you can choose how stock updates:

  • Real-time: FSM orders and pickings will be linked immediately.
  • On session close: FSM orders and pickings will be linked only when the POS session is closed.
  • Configure the user who will recive notifications on fsm order creation

In the POS settings, under Sale Order Creation you can set the person who will recive notifications to review the orders and assign them.

  • Open a New Point of Sale Session
  • Add the Configured Product to the Order
  • Select a Customer
  • Click on "Create Order"
  • Behavior Based on the Selected Option

Create Draft Sale Order

  • A draft Sale Order will be created.
  • To process it, go to Quotations/Orders, select the order, and confirm it.
  • Real-time stock: An FSM order will be created and linked immediately to the pickings.
  • Non-real-time stock: You will need to close the POS session to link the FSM order to the pickings.

Create Confirmed Sale Order

  • A confirmed Sale Order will be created directly.
  • This flow works the same whether stock updates are real-time or not.
  • An FSM order will be created and linked to the Sale Order automatically.

Create Delivered/Invoiced Sale Order

  • These options will automatically complete both the FSM order and the associated pickings.
  • The difference between them is that Invoiced will also generate an invoice.

Refunds

Refunds can be processed directly from the POS. The behavior varies depending on whether it is a full or partial refund:

Full Refunds

  • If the FSM order is not yet completed, it will be canceled.

Partial Refunds

  • The picking will be updated by removing the refunded products.
