Switzerland Country States

This module loads the list of Swiss cantons into Odoo's standard state/country reference data. Once installed, when the country on an address is Switzerland, you can pick the canton from the state field instead of typing it by hand.

The data covers the 26 cantons, each with its short code and a name, for example AG / Argovia, BE / Bern, GE / Geneva, ZH / Zurich, TI / Ticino, VD / Vaud, VS / Valais. The records are created once and are not overwritten by later updates, so any manual correction you make is kept.

The module also makes the state name translatable, so the canton name can be displayed in several languages.

Where it appears: the cantons become available anywhere Odoo uses the standard state field, such as contacts and partner addresses, and on documents that carry an address (for example sales, purchases or invoices). There is no dedicated menu, screen or report added by this module.

It only provides the canton list; it does not add postal codes or cities. If you also need Swiss ZIP codes and city names, a separate module is required. No automatic checks, calculations, emails or scheduled jobs are added.
