OCA's Partner Autocomplete: Finland Open Data

This module extends the OCA partner autocomplete feature with a Finnish data source. When a user starts typing a company name on a partner (contact) record and the country is Finland, Odoo queries the Finnish open-data service (PRH Avoin Data) and offers matching companies to fill in automatically.

What gets filled in from the search result: - Company name (the active trade name) - Street, building number, apartment number, postcode and city - Business ID and, when the company is registered for VAT, a Finnish VAT number - Website address

Where it appears: the autocomplete behaviour is part of the partner/contact form; no new menus are added by this module. It works through the existing autocomplete backend configuration.

Automatic setup: the module installs a default autocomplete backend for Finland and a country environment entry marked as "free", so the Finnish lookup is active out of the box without manual configuration.

Business rules shown in the code: only active (not ended) trade names, addresses and VAT registrations are used; the Finnish-language city name is preferred when several are available; if the external service fails or returns an error, the search simply returns no results instead of blocking the user. The module touches the partner autocomplete backend and country environment models and the contact form behaviour.
