Thai Localization - Sequence with Buddhist Era Year
This module extends the ir.sequence allowing more legends. It adds the following legends:
- Current Buddhist Era (BE) year with century: %(year_be)s
- Current Buddhist Era (BE) year without century: %(y_be)s
- The begin of date_range Buddhist Era (BE) year with century: %(range_year_be)s
- The begin of date_range Buddhist Era (BE) year without century: %(range_y_be)s
- The end of date_range Buddhist Era (BE) year with century: %(range_end_year_be)s
- The end of date_range Buddhist Era (BE) year without century: %(range_end_y_be)s
This module works with range_ and range_end_.
Note: This module does not depends on the l10n_th_sequence_range_end. Although, the module l10n_th_sequence_range_end must be manually installed in order to use %(range_end_year_be)s and %(range_end_y_be)s legends.
auto_awesome What this module does
AI-generated from the code · Odoo 14.0Adds Buddhist Era (BE) year placeholders to Odoo sequence numbering, so document numbers can show the Thai year (e.g. 2567 instead of 2024) in prefixes and suffixes.
This module extends the sequence configuration screen so that Thai users can build document numbers using Buddhist Era years. On the sequence form (Settings > Technical > Sequences), two new legend hints appear: one for the current BE year with century and one without century.
When a sequence is generated, the module automatically converts the normal year into the Buddhist Era year by adding 543, and also provides short two-digit versions. It supports the current year, the year at the start of a date range, and, if the separate range-end module is installed, the year at the end of a date range.
- Legends available: current BE year with century, current BE year without century, range-start BE year with and without century, and range-end BE year with and without century.
- The range-end legends only work when the module named
l10n_th_sequence_range_endis installed; otherwise they are simply not provided. - No new menus or models are created; the change is applied inside the existing sequence engine and its configuration view.
This is useful for Thai companies that must print official documents with the Buddhist calendar year in their running numbers.
