Profit & Loss / Balance sheet MIS templates

This module gives you two pre-configured financial reports inside the MIS Builder reporting tool: a Profit & Loss report and a Balance Sheet report. You can open them, run them for any period, and see the figures calculated from your accounting entries.

The Profit & Loss report shows Profit (income accounts), Loss (expense accounts) and a Profit or loss to report line. The Balance Sheet shows Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Unallocated Earnings (current and previous year) and the Profit / Loss coming from the Profit & Loss report through a sub-report link.

A new option called 'horizontal' appears on the report instance form, but only when the report contains at least one KPI marked with the new 'Split after' flag. When you enable it, the report is cut into separate blocks at each marked KPI and those blocks are shown next to each other instead of stacked vertically. This is useful to place, for example, Profit and Loss side by side in non-comparison mode.

On each KPI definition form a new 'Splitting' group lets you tick 'Split after' to control where the report is cut. The module also adds report styles (bold headers, indentation levels, hidden empty lines) used by the two templates, and adjusts the on-screen and printed report layout to support the horizontal display.
