MRP BOM Matrix Report

This module adds a new reporting screen called BOM Matrix, found under the Manufacturing app in the Reporting menu. It is a read-only analysis view: users cannot create, edit or delete records there.

The report shows one line per combination of parent product, parent product category and component product. For each line it displays the parent product, the parent's product category, the component product, and a number called "# Uses in Parent" that counts in how many parent assemblies the component is used.

The count follows the full bill-of-materials structure, not just direct parents: if a raw material sits inside a sub-assembly that is itself used in several finished products, those higher-level parents are counted too. This makes it easy to spot components that are consumed across many assemblies and therefore deserve extra attention on stock levels.

The data can be viewed as a list, as a single record form, or as a pivot table where parent products are columns, components are rows and the usage count is the measure. A search view lets users filter by parent product, parent category, component or usage count.

Access is granted read-only to standard Manufacturing users. The report is built from existing bills of materials and product data; it does not change any manufacturing, stock or sales behaviour.
