MRP Lot Production Date

This module links manufacturing with lot tracking. It does not add any new screen or menu; it works in the background when a manufacturing order is completed.

• When the inventory movements of a manufacturing order are posted (the step that happens when you validate/finish the order), the module looks at the lot or serial number that was produced for that order.
• If that lot/serial number has no production date yet, the current date and time is written into its production date field.
• If a production date was already filled in, it is left untouched, so manually entered dates are never overwritten.

It relies on the mrp.production model and on the production date field provided by the lot production date module. The result is visible on the lot/serial number record, where the production date is now filled automatically instead of being entered by hand. This is useful for traceability, expiry or warranty calculations and any report that uses the lot production date. No checks, emails, scheduled jobs or extra restrictions are added by this module.
