Product seasonality

This module adds a way to describe when products are seasonally available. You create a "Product seasonal configuration" record with a name and a list of lines. Each line picks a product template (and optionally a specific product variant), a start date, an optional end date, and the weekdays (Monday to Sunday) on which the product is available.

• A validation rule prevents saving a line whose end date is earlier than its start date.
• The system can check whether a given date is a valid sale date for a line, taking the weekday and the date range into account.
• Lines can be searched and grouped by configuration, product template or product.

On the company form, a "Default product seasonal configuration" field is available. When a new company is created, a default configuration is automatically created for it, and this default cannot be removed.

On customer and contact forms, a "Product seasonal configuration" field lets you attach a configuration to a partner. This field is part of the commercial fields, so it is shared with child contacts and managed on the parent company.

Regular users can read configurations and lines; only system administrators can create, edit or delete them.
