Product Variant Change Attribute Value

This module adds a wizard that opens from the product variant list (the action is available on the selected products). It shows how many variants and product templates are affected.

In the wizard you can filter by one attribute and then, for each attribute value, choose an action: Do Nothing, Replace or Delete. When you choose Replace, you pick the replacement value; when you choose Delete, the value is removed from the selected variants.

After you press Apply, the module updates each variant's attribute values. If a value is no longer used by any variant of the same product template, it is also removed from the template's attribute configuration. If removing a value would make the product template lose its uniqueness (for example, two variants would become identical), the module blocks the change and shows an error message.

If deleting a value makes a variant identical to another selected variant, the module tries to remove the duplicate variant. If either variant is already used in sales orders, invoices, purchase orders, stock moves or similar documents, the deletion is refused with an error.

The wizard is available for users with access to products; only system administrators can create or modify the wizard records.
