This is a technical module for adding some HR information to projects and provide technical fields with HR information:

  • Employee categories at project and task level.
  • Employee linked to the user assigned to a task.
  • Employee categories at user level.

These fields can be used later for extra features like task scheduling or security restrictions.

It also provides some facilities on project management:

  • Limit selection of assigned users according selected employee category at task level.
  • Limit selection of employee categories at task level depending on the selected categories at project level. All are shown if no categories at project level.

auto_awesome What this module does

AI-generated from the code · Odoo 19.0

Link HR employee categories to projects and tasks, and restrict which users can be assigned to a task based on those categories.

This module connects HR employee categories with project management so you can control who is allowed to work on a task.

On a project form you get a new 'Employee Categories' field where you can list the categories allowed for that project. On a task you get an 'Employee Categories' field and a read-only 'Linked employees' field showing the employees of the assigned users.

Business rules added: - The categories selectable on a task are limited to those set on its project; if the project has none, all categories are available. - When a task has categories, the list of assignable users is limited to users whose employee belongs to those categories and to the task's company. - Odoo blocks saving a task if an assigned user does not belong to the selected employee category, or if a task category is not allowed at project level.

The 'Linked employees' field is computed automatically from the assigned users, filtered by the task's company. A technical field on users shows the HR categories of their employee in the current company.

These fields appear on the project form, the task form, and the task list, kanban, quick-create and activity views.
