Repair Quality Control

This module allows to create quality control inspections from repair orders. One repair order can be linked to many different inspections.

The related inspections can be created either on the confirmation of the repair order, or when it is done. The creation can be executed manually or automatically. Both of these aspects are configurable at a company level.

Moreover, you can configure trigger lines at a Product, Product Template or Product Category level (using the 'Repair' trigger) to set the QC Test to use when creating the inspections.

AI-generated from the code · Odoo 18.0

Link quality control inspections to repair orders. Inspections can be created manually or automatically when a repair is confirmed or completed, based on company settings and product-level trigger rules.

This module connects repair orders with quality control inspections, so you can check the quality of repaired products.

On a repair order form you get a new "Create Inspection" button (visible only when automatic creation is off and the repair has reached the configured state) and an "Inspections" smart button that lists all inspections linked to that repair. Inspections can also be created automatically when the repair is confirmed or when it is marked as done, depending on company settings.

In Settings, under the Repair section, you can enable "Auto-generate QC Inspection" and choose whether inspections are generated "On Confirm" or "On Done". These settings are stored per company.

Which quality test is used is decided by trigger lines configured on the product, product template or product category, using the "Repairs" trigger. When an inspection is created from a repair, its product and lot are taken from the repair order, and a "Repair order" button on the inspection form lets you jump back to the related repair.

If a repair is cancelled, draft inspections are deleted and the remaining ones are cancelled.
