Report Alternative Layout

This module gives you a second way to lay out the printed PDF of any report, aimed at Japanese-style documents. You switch it on per paper format: on the paper format form you tick "apply_alternative_layout", and optionally "show_address_in_header" to repeat the addresses at the top of every page. Two ready-made A4 paper formats are installed, one without addresses in the header and one with them.

When the alternative layout is active on a report, the standard header block is replaced. The customer address appears on the left and the company address on the right, instead of the usual stacked layout. The company address block is hidden from the header and shown in the body of the document.

On the report configuration screen a new "Alternative Layout Settings" page appears, where you can: - show the document number in the header; - pick a date or datetime field of the report's model to print in the header, with an optional custom label; - show a remit-to bank account, taken from the record's bank field or, if none, from the company's first bank account; - print the commercial (parent) partner's address instead of the document partner's address.

These settings only affect reports whose paper format uses the alternative layout; other reports keep the standard Odoo layout.
