Sales Commissions Advance

When a customer pays a down payment on a sales order, this module makes sure the sales agent still gets a commission on that down payment invoice. Without it, down payment lines would show zero commission.

The commission on a down payment is worked out proportionally: the total commission planned on the regular sale order lines is taken as a base, and the share matching the down payment amount is applied. This base amount is stored on each commission line so it can be reused.

• Down payment lines on sales orders and customer invoices get their own agent commission lines.
• The commission amount is recalculated automatically when a down payment invoice is created.
• Only agents with a positive commission amount on the sale order are carried over.
• Regular (non-down-payment) lines keep the standard commission behaviour from the Sales Commissions module.

It works together with the sale_commission module and affects sales orders (sale.order.line), customer invoices and credit notes (account.move, account.move.line) and the commission lines attached to invoice lines (account.invoice.line.agent). No new menus or screens are added; the change is visible in the agent commission lines already shown on sales orders and invoices.
