Sale Order Secondary Unit

This module lets you sell a product using a second unit of measure (for example, sell by box while stock is kept in units) directly on sale orders.

On the product form, a new field "Default secondary unit for sales" lets you choose which secondary unit should be proposed by default. The list of available secondary units is maintained under Sales > Configuration > Secondary Units of Measure, where you can create units per product template or variant with a code, name, unit and conversion factor.

On a sale order line, a "Secondary Qty" field and a secondary unit field appear next to the normal quantity. When you pick a product, the default secondary unit is filled in automatically, and the quantity in the main unit is recalculated from the secondary quantity. A computed "2nd unit price" shows the price per secondary unit. The secondary quantity and unit are shown in the order lines list, the line form and the kanban view.

The printed quotation and sale order report also show a "Second. Qty" column with the secondary quantity and the unit name, factor and reference unit.

If a product has several variants with different secondary units, changing the default on the template shows a warning that all variants will be updated.
