This module adds a new field called Selling Company on customer records. You can find it on the partner form, right after the delivery carrier field. The field is only editable on main companies; for contacts linked to a parent company it is shown as read-only, so the value is inherited from the parent.

When you create a sales order and pick a customer, Odoo automatically fills in the order's company with the customer's Selling Company. If the customer has no selling company set, the order keeps the current user's company. The same rule applies when a sales order is created directly from a customer record: the customer's selling company is used as the default.

The chosen company is stored on the sales order and is recalculated whenever the customer on the order changes. This helps multi-company setups where different customers belong to different legal entities, reducing manual selection of the company on each order.

The module works together with Sales, Inventory and Delivery, and it touches the customer (res.partner) and sales order (sale.order) models. It does not add new menus or reports.
