Sale Stock Release Channel Delivery Date Plan Shipment Lead Time

This module is a small technical bridge between two other modules: one that computes delivery dates on sales orders and one that adds shipment lead times to release channel preparation plans.

In practice, users do not get a new screen or menu. The change happens behind the scenes on the stock.release.channel.preparation.plan model. When someone creates, modifies or deletes a preparation plan, the module clears Odoo's internal cache of computed values.

Why this matters to a user: - Delivery dates shown on sales orders depend on preparation plans and their shipment lead times. - Those dates are cached for performance, so after changing a plan the old dates could otherwise remain visible. - Clearing the cache forces Odoo to recompute the delivery dates using the updated plan information.

So the business effect is that promised delivery dates stay consistent with the current preparation plan configuration. If a planner adjusts a plan's lead time or other settings, sales documents will reflect the corrected dates instead of stale ones. No new fields, menus, reports, emails or scheduled jobs are added by this module; it only ensures the delivery-date computation is refreshed after plan changes.
