Frontend for Shopfloor app.

The work is organized in scenario. A scenario represents a process in the warehouse (eg: receive, deliver). The app allows to start each process through the main menu.

Each scenario is linked to a specific menu item which can be configured in the backend. Each scenario drives you through the work to do.

Tech details

  • This frontend is built on top of VueJS and VuetifyJS and relies on shopfloor module that exposes REST API in Odoo (based in turn on base_rest).
  • The whole business logic comes from shopfloor module, this module takes care of providing a nice and reactive UI to work with.
  • No Odoo JS is used, no assets machinery used. Static assets are loaded straight, served by a specific controller. This app is a Single Page App, hence resources are loaded only once. The version of the module appended to the URL of each resources makes sure it's not cached when the version changes.
  • When developing you can use a demo mode which allows to define interactive scenario with pure JS demo data, without interacting with Odoo. Nothing to deal with Odoo demo data.

Adds the mobile-friendly Shopfloor screens for warehouse operations such as receiving, delivering, picking and packing. Warehouse workers can scan barcodes, confirm quantities, change carriers and handle exceptions from a phone or tablet.

This module provides the mobile user interface of the Shopfloor warehouse app. It is the front-end that warehouse workers open on a phone or tablet to run warehouse processes (called scenarios) such as receiving, delivering, picking or packing.

  • Each scenario is reached from the main menu and guides the worker step by step through the work.
  • Screens show details of transfers, products, lots, packages and locations, including reserved quantities, stock on hand, expiry and removal dates, vendor codes and packaging.
  • Workers can scan barcodes, pick quantities with a quantity picker, and see colour highlights when a scanned quantity is below or above the reserved quantity.
  • On a transfer, a button lets the user change the carrier through a dedicated form.
  • Exception actions are available on picking lines: go to destination with full bins, skip a line, declare a stock out, or change the lot or pack.
  • A confirmation dialog warns when the last operation of a document is done, and another asks the user to confirm when stock is zero.
  • Lines can be cancelled with a confirmation popup, and a progress bar shows how complete a transfer is.
  • The module relies on the shopfloor module for all business logic and only adds the mobile screens and static assets.
