Stock Move - Do not merge by destination moves
This module extends the functionality of stock move merging to allow you to never merge stock moves if those moves will go to different destination moves.
auto_awesome What this module does
AI-generated from the code · Odoo 16.0Prevents Odoo from merging stock moves that are linked to different destination moves, so each downstream operation keeps its own separate move. This keeps traceability between chained transfers intact.
When Odoo groups or merges stock moves (for example when confirming sales orders or processing transfers), it normally combines moves that look similar. This module changes that behaviour so moves are only merged when they point to the same destination moves.
- It adds the destination moves link to the list of criteria Odoo uses to decide whether two stock moves can be merged.
- It also adds that same criterion to the list used when merging negative (return or reversal) moves, so those are only combined when they share the same destination moves.
- The result is that moves feeding different downstream operations stay separate, preserving the link between a move and the moves it creates next.
This affects the stock.move model and therefore any flow built on stock moves, including sales-driven deliveries through sale_stock. There are no new menus, screens, buttons or reports: the change is automatic and applies whenever Odoo performs move merging. No new fields, checks, emails or scheduled jobs are added.
