Stock Picking Group By Max Weight

This module adds a maximum weight limit to each operation type (for example, a delivery method or an internal operation). Once a limit is set, Odoo uses it in two ways.

• When new moves are assigned to an existing transfer, Odoo only considers transfers whose remaining allowed weight is enough for the move. The remaining allowed weight is calculated automatically from the operation type limit minus the current weight of the transfer.
• If a transfer already exceeds the limit, it is split into several transfers so that each one stays within the maximum weight. The split happens after moves are assigned and only for transfers that are not done, not cancelled and not yet printed.

The maximum weight is entered on the operation type form, in the Operation Types screen, next to the reservation settings. The field is only visible to users with technical settings access.

The module works together with the base grouping module, so it respects the existing grouping rules (for example, grouping by customer or procurement group) and adds the weight limit on top. It touches the transfer (stock.picking), move (stock.move) and operation type (stock.picking.type) models.
