Stock Picking Stages

This module lets you define your own list of transfer stages (for example "Waiting goods", "Being packed", "Ready to ship") and assign one to each transfer order. Stages are managed from a new "Picking Stage" menu under Inventory configuration, where you create a name, an optional short code and a colour.

On the transfer form a new Stage field appears next to the Source Document, and a coloured ribbon is shown in the top-right corner of the form displaying the stage code. The ribbon colour follows the colour you set on the stage, and the text automatically shrinks when the code is long.

• Stages are shared reference data: stock users can read them, while only stock managers can create, edit or delete them.
• The stage is tracked in the chatter, so changes of stage are logged on the transfer.
• The stage code and colour are pulled automatically from the selected stage; you only pick the stage itself.
• Each new stage gets a random colour by default, which you can change with a colour picker.

The module extends the stock.picking model and adds the new stock.picking.stage model. It does not add any automatic status change, validation or scheduled action: the stage is set manually by the user.
