Web Sort Menu

This module changes how the list of applications is displayed in the top navigation bar of Odoo. Instead of keeping the order in which apps are configured, the apps are rearranged alphabetically by their displayed name.

The sorting is applied automatically every time the navigation bar builds its list of apps, so no user action is needed and no configuration screen is added. It works in the backend web client and affects the app menu that appears at the top of the screen.

Because the comparison uses the name as shown to the user, the order follows the language currently in use, so translated app names are sorted according to that language's alphabet rules.

• No new menus, buttons, reports or settings are added.
• No database models are created or modified.
• The change is purely visual and applies to the navigation bar component (NavBar).
• It only depends on the standard web module.

If another module that also reorders the navigation bar is installed, the final order may be affected by that module, but this module itself simply sorts the app list alphabetically.
