Mass Mailing Subscription Snippet With Name

This module extends the standard website newsletter subscription snippet so that visitors must provide their name as well as their email address.

• On any page using the newsletter subscription snippet, a new "your name..." input appears just before the email field, and both the name and email fields are marked as required.
• When a visitor clicks the subscribe button, the browser checks that both fields are filled in and that the email looks valid; if not, a helpful message is shown and the subscription is not sent.
• The name is sent together with the email to the subscription service, and the server stores the name in the visitor's session.
• When the page checks whether the visitor is already subscribed, it also returns the name: for a logged-in user it uses the user's name, otherwise the name saved in the session. The name field is then filled in and disabled if the visitor is already subscribed.
• The module only touches the website subscription snippet and its front-end behaviour; it does not add new menus or database models of its own. It relies on mailing.contact to split the name and email from the submitted value.
