Website Sale Partner Restrict Payment Acquirer
This module extends the functionality of partner_restrict_payment_acquirer to restrict payment acquirers for a partner during the checkout process in e-commerce. Only the selected acquirers will be available for online payments.
auto_awesome What this module does
AI-generated from the code · Odoo 15.0Limits the payment methods shown to a customer during online checkout to the ones allowed on their contact record. If no restriction is set, all normally available payment providers stay visible.
This module connects the partner-level payment restriction feature with the Odoo eCommerce checkout. It changes how the list of payment providers is built when a customer is paying online.
- When Odoo looks for the payment providers that can be used on the website, it now also checks the allowed payment providers stored on the contact of the logged-in user.
- If that contact has one or more allowed providers, only those providers are offered at checkout.
- If the contact has no allowed providers configured, the restriction is ignored and the normal list of compatible providers is shown.
The change is applied inside the payment provider model (payment.acquirer), so it affects the payment step of the website checkout rather than a separate screen. There are no new menus, buttons or reports. The module depends on the partner restriction module, which is where the allowed providers are maintained on the contact, and on Website Sale, which provides the online checkout flow.

Source · Odoo 15.0Open the partner form and go to the Sales & Purchases tab. Add payment acquirers in the Allowed Acquirers field.
Note: Leaving this field empty will remove restrictions and allow the selection of any acquirer.
When the partner proceeds to checkout in the portal, only the allowed acquirers will be available for payment.
For not logged-in users, if you want to restrict their allowed acquirers, you need to edit the Allowed Acquirers field for the Public user partner (base.public_user).
