Japan Country States

This module changes how the Japanese prefectures are stored and displayed in Odoo. It loads a data file that overwrites the existing prefecture records with English names, so the base name of each prefecture becomes the English spelling (for example Tokyo, Osaka, Hokkaido) instead of the Japanese one.

• It covers all 47 prefectures of Japan, from Hokkaido down to Okinawa.
• Because the names are translatable, users whose language is set to Japanese still see the Japanese prefecture names, while everyone else sees the English names.
• The change applies wherever prefectures are used, such as addresses on contacts, companies, customers and vendors.

It does not add any new menu, screen, button, report or automatic rule. It only updates the reference data for Japanese states/regions, which are stored in the res.country.state records. No new models are created by this module.

This is useful for companies that operate internationally: addresses, invoices and reports show readable English prefecture names, while Japanese-speaking staff keep the familiar Japanese names. It relies on the base_country_state_translatable module, which makes country state names translatable.
