Message Edit

This module adds editing and moving of chatter messages. On any message of type comment or email, a new "Move message" action appears next to the usual message actions, and the existing edit action opens a wizard instead of the standard behaviour.

• The wizard shows the subject and body, which can be changed by users allowed to edit messages.
• A "Destination object" field lets users pick another record from any model that supports messages (for example a contact or a sales order); saving moves the message there.
• After saving, a notification confirms whether the message was edited or moved, and the chatter refreshes.

Access is controlled by three hidden groups: "Edit own mail messages", "Move own mail messages" and "Edit or Move anyone's mail messages". The administrator and the demo user are members of the superuser group by default. The code also marks messages so the interface knows whether the current user is the author or a superuser, which decides which actions are offered.

The module touches mail.message and adds a reference field to choose the destination record. It depends on the standard mail, web, web tour and contacts modules.
