MRP Production Inject Operation

This module lets you add an extra work order to a manufacturing order by picking an operation that already exists on its Bill of Materials, instead of creating it manually.

On the manufacturing order form, an "Inject operation" button appears in the header. It is only shown when the order is confirmed, in progress or to close, has a Bill of Materials with operations, and already has work orders.

Clicking the button opens a small wizard where you select: - the new operation, limited to the operations of the order's Bill of Materials (operations skipped for the product are excluded); - the previous work order, i.e. the work order after which the new one should be inserted. Only work orders that are not done are offered, plus the last completed one.

When you confirm, the new work order is created with the operation's name, work center and expected duration, placed right after the chosen work order, and the following work orders are shifted down in the sequence. If the next work order was ready or in progress, the new one is set to ready and the next one goes back to pending. If the manufacturing order is already planned, the work orders are re-planned automatically.

The module also makes the work order sequence field read-only and sorts work orders by sequence when they are confirmed.
