MRP Production Generator By Date Interval

This module adds a wizard that lets you generate several manufacturing orders in one go instead of creating them one by one.

You open it from the Manufacturing menu under the Planning section, in a new entry called Production Generator. In the form you pick a product and its bill of materials, then set a period start date, a period end date and a start hour.

When you press Create Productions, the system creates one manufacturing order for every day between the start and end dates (both included), each scheduled at the chosen hour. The hour is interpreted in your own user time zone and converted to the company's time zone, so orders land at the right moment. The created orders are then shown to you in a filtered list.

A few automatic rules apply: the product list only shows products that have a normal bill of materials, and the bill of materials list is limited to normal bills matching the selected product and company. Choosing a product automatically fills in its bill of materials, and choosing a bill of materials fills in the product. If the end date is earlier than the start date, Odoo blocks the action with an error message.

Each generated order is marked with the origin text "Created using Production Generator Wizard", which makes it easy to find them later. The wizard is available to Manufacturing users.
