Partner Classification

This module adds a new reference list called Partner Classifications, where you can define classifications with a name, an optional code and a company. You manage this list from the Contacts app under Configuration > Classifications, where you can create, edit, archive and search classifications; archived ones can be shown with a dedicated filter.

On every contact form, a new Classification field appears in the Sales & Purchases tab, next to the Industry field. Each contact can be linked to one classification. The classification is treated as a commercial field, so it is shared with the related company contacts in the same way as other commercial information.

Business rules shown by the code: - The name of a classification is required and can be translated. - The code must be unique: if you try to save a duplicate code, Odoo blocks it with the message "This code is already taken". - Classifications can be archived instead of deleted, and the form shows an Archived banner when they are inactive. - Classifications are company-aware: a classification can be shared across companies or restricted to one company, and users only see classifications of companies they are allowed to access.

Access rights: all internal users can read classifications, while only partner managers can create, modify or delete them. The module touches the contact model res.partner and the new model res.partner.classification.
