POS Partner Firstname

This module extends the Point of Sale customer editing screen so that the separate first name and last name fields from the partner_firstname module are available at the till.

• In the customer form, a person icon appears in the header. Clicking it switches the customer between a person and a company.
• When the customer is a person, two extra fields, Lastname and Firstname, are shown and can be edited. When it is a company, the normal company name field is shown instead and the first/last name fields are hidden.
• If you save a person without a first name or a last name, an error popup titled "Missing information" appears saying that a customer firstname or lastname is required.
• The customer's full name is then rebuilt automatically from the first and last name, following the name order configured in Odoo (last name first with a comma, first name first, or last name first).

The module also makes sure the first name, last name and company flag are loaded into the Point of Sale session, and exposes the configured name order to the till. It touches the Point of Sale configuration, the Point of Sale session and the customer editing screen.
