POS - Product Template Configurator

This module changes how products with variants are chosen at the Point of Sale counter. Instead of showing every single variant as a separate tile, the cashier taps the product and a configurator pop-up opens where the attribute values (for example colour and size) are selected.

• The pop-up shows the attributes and their values for that product, sorted in the order defined in Odoo, and adds the extra price of each selected value to the price.
• When the cashier confirms, Odoo looks for the variant that matches all the chosen values. If only one variant matches, it is added straight to the order. If several match, a second pop-up lists them so the cashier can pick the right one.
• If no variant matches the selection, an error message says the product was not found for the selected attribute values.
• This behaviour only applies when the product configurator option is enabled in the Point of Sale settings; otherwise the standard product selection is used.

The module works together with pos_product_template and is designed for databases with a very large number of variants, because the Point of Sale no longer needs to load them all. It touches the Point of Sale product screen and the product, attribute and attribute value data loaded into the till.
