Product Documentation Sets

This module adds a new type of record called a Product Documentation Set. Each set has a name, a purpose (usage), a language, one or more countries, and a list of attached documents. A set can be linked to specific products and/or product categories.

Where it appears in Odoo: - A new "Product Documentation Set" list and form is available, with a search view that filters by usage, product, category, country and language. - On a product form, a new "Documents" tab shows the documentation sets linked to that product. - On a product category form, a "Documents" section shows the documentation sets linked to that category.

Business rules and automatic behaviour: - Sets can be marked active or inactive. - The module provides a lookup function that finds documentation sets for a given purpose, optionally filtered by country, language, product or category. If nothing is found for a product, it automatically looks at the product's category, and then walks up the parent category chain until a set is found. - Only users with system rights can create, edit or delete documentation sets; regular users can only view them.

It touches the product template, product category and country models, and stores documents as standard attachments.
