Purchase Request Type

This module adds a new concept of "purchase request type" to the Purchase Request app. You can create and manage these types from a new menu under Purchase configuration, where each type has a name, a description, an entry sequence, an optional operation type, a company and a flag called "reduce step".

On every purchase request you now see a required Type field. When you pick a type, Odoo automatically copies the operation type from the type onto the request, and the request reference is generated from the sequence attached to that type instead of the standard one. If the type is marked as "reduce step", the button that creates a request for quotation from the request lines is hidden, so the request can be handled without going through that step.

Business rules are enforced: a request cannot use a type belonging to another company, and changing the company on a request clears the selected type. Types are also available as a filter and as a grouping option in the purchase request list and search views, and the type is shown as a column in the request list.

Access is controlled: regular purchase request users can only read types, while managers can create, edit and delete them. Types are restricted per company, and archived types are shown in grey in the list.
