Stock Picking Procure Method
This module adds the possibility to set the supply method to Apply Procurement Rules in the pickings, which is normally set to Take From Stock by default.
This way, you can configure MTO flows triggered from the picking itself.
auto_awesome What this module does
AI-generated from the code · Odoo 18.0Lets you choose the supply method directly on a transfer (picking) while it is still in draft, so you can trigger procurement rules instead of always taking products from stock.
This module adds a Supply Method field to transfer (picking) forms. It is visible only while the transfer is in draft state and only for users who have the advanced location settings enabled.
The field offers the same choices as the supply method on individual stock moves, typically Take From Stock and Apply Procurement Rules. When you pick a value, it is applied to all the moves inside that transfer at once, so you do not have to open each move line separately.
- The value shown on the transfer is computed from its moves: if all moves share the same supply method, that method is displayed; if they differ, the field stays empty.
- Changing the field on the transfer updates the supply method of every move in it.
- The field is read-only and hidden once the transfer leaves draft state, so it cannot be changed after confirmation.
This makes it possible to set up make-to-order style flows starting from the transfer itself, for example when you want a move to wait for a previous move instead of taking what is currently available in the source location. It touches the stock.picking model and its form view, and relies on the supply method defined on stock.move.
