Storage Image Product

This module connects the image library to your product catalog. On a product template you get a new Images tab where you can link stored images to the product, and on a product category form you get an Images section for category pictures.

Each linked image can carry a tag. Tags are managed in a new Image Tag screen under Sales > Configuration, where you choose whether a tag applies to products or to categories. The tag form shows how many products and how many categories use it, with buttons to open those lists.

For products with variants, an image can be restricted to specific attribute values (for example colour Red). Odoo then works out, for each variant, which images match it and picks a main image automatically: the first active image in sequence order, preferring one whose attributes exactly match the variant. The product form and the product kanban cards show this main image instead of the standard picture, and the variant form shows its matching images in a read-only Images tab.

If you remove an attribute value from a product's variants, that value is also removed from the images that were restricted to it, so images never point to values the product no longer offers.

On the image record itself, new Products and Categories tabs list where the image is used. Image managers can create and edit these links; other internal users can only view them, and only administrators manage the tags.
