Management Systems

This module adds a new area called Management Systems to Odoo, with its own menu and its own access rights. It is the base that other management-system apps build on.

What you can do: - Create and list your management systems (for example "ISO 9001 quality system") in a simple screen with a name and, when several companies are used, the company it belongs to. - Open a single Settings screen where you tick the boxes for the apps and templates you want, and Odoo installs the matching modules for you.

Where it appears: - A top-level Management Systems menu with Management System, Documentation, Reports and Configuration sections. - Under Configuration, a Systems entry opens the list of management systems, and a Settings entry opens the configuration screen.

Business rules and automatic behaviour: - Records are filtered by company: users only see systems with no company or belonging to companies they are allowed to use. - When you confirm the settings, Odoo checks that every selected module is actually available; if some are missing, it stops with an error message pointing to the project's issue tracker instead of installing partially. - Five access levels are provided: Viewer (read only), User, Auditor, Approving User and Manager, the Manager being able to change configuration data.

The settings screen groups the choices into Industries (automotive, laboratories), Management Systems (quality, environment, hygiene and safety, information security), Applications (actions, nonconformities, claims, audits, KPIs, reviews), Manuals and Documentation (procedures, environmental aspects, hazards, feared events, work instructions, document approval).
