Website Product Configurator

This module brings the product configurator to the e-shop. When a customer opens a configurable product page, instead of the standard variant pop-up they get a guided configuration form with steps, radio buttons, dropdowns, custom text/number/date fields and file uploads.

• Each configuration step can be linked to a specific website template, so you can choose how the options are displayed (radio or select). A default template is set in Settings under the configurator section.
• As the customer changes an option, the page updates automatically: unavailable choices are disabled, the product image changes, and the price and weight are recalculated and shown.
• Required fields are highlighted, and the customer cannot move to the next step until they are filled in.
• When the configuration is finished, a product variant is created and the customer is redirected to its page, where they can add it to the cart or reconfigure it.
• Configurations are stored in sessions; a scheduled job deletes draft sessions that have been inactive for more than three days.
• The module also adjusts how configurable products are handled in the shopping cart so that each configuration is kept as a separate line.
