Product Configurator for Stock

This module brings the product configurator into warehouse operations. On an operation type (for example a delivery or receipt type), a new "Allow configuration" option can be switched on. Transfers using that operation type then show a "Configure Product" button while they are still in draft, waiting, confirmed or assigned state.

Pressing that button opens a configuration wizard where the user selects the product options. When the wizard is finished, a new stock move line is created on the transfer with the chosen product, quantity of 1, unit of measure and the source/destination locations taken from the transfer. If the wizard was opened from an existing line, that line is updated instead of creating a new one.

On each transfer line, a small gear icon lets users reconfigure an existing product; it only appears when the product is configurable, the transfer is still open and configuration is allowed. The chosen configuration values are also visible on the transfer line for users in the product configurator group.

The module touches stock.picking, stock.picking.type and stock.move, and adds the product.configurator.picking wizard. It also adjusts the product form so the on-hand quantity button is hidden for configurable products with variants.
